You won’t find a traditional synagogue dues structure at Temple Sinai. In its place, we have adopted "SinaiPromise Membership" -- a pledge we make to each other as a community to contribute what we can to support our temple, clergy, and programs. These pledges are the building blocks for our being a “Kehillah shel Chesed,” a caring, inclusive community.
With this approach, you receive information about the cost of running Temple Sinai and the average amount each member household would need to contribute to sustain it for the coming year (the "sustaining amount"). Members are then asked to contribute what they can to maintain our community.
Please Renew Regardless of Your Chosen Contribution! We value your membership regardless of the amount of financial commitment! If the sustaining amount is not right for your or your family now, please make a pledge and payment reflecting your financial ability and the meaning that being a part of the Temple Sinai community provides you. If you want to be a member, then you can be assured that you will be welcomed warmly no matter the level of financial commitment.
Our inclusive funding model depends on members who are able to contribute beyond the sustaining amount as part of their SinaiPromise Membership -- and/or in generous Annual Giving donations -- to fund our operating budget. These additional contributions allow us to continue our robust programming and services while maintaining our flexible membership dues. Please consider giving more if you are able.
